Upside-Down Pecan Cake

INGREDIENTS:
⏺ 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
⏺ ½ cup packed dark brown sugar
⏺ ¼ cup dark corn syrup (or light corn syrup, or a mix of both)
⏺ 1 stick unsalted butter, melted (yes, another stick – indulge yourself!)
⏺ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⏺ Pinch of salt
⏺ 1 cup pecan halves or chopped
⏺ 1 box yellow cake mix
INSTRUCTIONS:
1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2️⃣ Grease a bundt pan well with cooking spray.
3️⃣ In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
4️⃣ Pour the pecan mixture into the prepared bundt pan.
5️⃣ Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the mixture.
6️⃣ In a separate bowl, prepare the cake mix according to package instructions, using milk instead of water.
7️⃣ Pour the cake batter over the pecan mixture in the bundt pan.
8️⃣ Important! Do not stir the layers.
9️⃣ Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
1️⃣0️⃣ Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a serving plate.
