Surefire Dessert Recipe

This Surefire Dessert is a crowd-pleasing favorite that combines a rich, creamy texture with a burst of fruity sweetness. Perfect for any occasion, this dessert is easy to make and even easier to enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped (or use whipped topping)
  • 1 can (21 oz) fruit pie filling (such as cherry, blueberry, or apple)
  • 1 graham cracker crust (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling:
    • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
    • Add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
  2. Fold in Whipped Cream:
    • Gently fold in the whipped cream (or whipped topping) into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
  3. Assemble the Dessert:
    • Spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of the graham cracker crust.
  4. Add Fruit Filling:
    • Spoon half of the fruit pie filling over the cream cheese layer, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Repeat Layers:
    • Add the remaining cream cheese mixture on top of the fruit filling, spreading it evenly.
  6. Top with More Fruit:
    • Spoon the remaining fruit pie filling over the cream cheese layer, spreading it out to cover the top.
  7. Chill and Serve:
    • Refrigerate the dessert for at least 2 hours, or until set.
