Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy using a hand mixer or a stand mixer.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
