Super Fluffy Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk, at room temperature
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy using a hand mixer or a stand mixer.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  8. Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, you can dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar, frost it with your favorite icing, or serve it as is.
  10. Slice, serve, and enjoy the fluffy goodness of your delicious cake.
