INGREDIENTS :
Sugar Cookies:
⏺ 1 cup salted butter
⏺ 1 cup granulated sugar
⏺ 2 eggs
⏺ 1 tsp vanilla extract
⏺ 1/2 tsp almond extract
⏺ 3 cups all purpose flour
⏺ 2 tsp baking powder
Sweet Almond Icing:
⏺ 1/2 cup salted butter softened
⏺ 3 cups powdered sugar
⏺ 1 tsp almond extract
⏺ 1-3 tbsp milk
⏺ neon pink food coloring optional
INSTRUCTIONS :
1️⃣ In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
2️⃣ Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
3️⃣ Gradually add flour and baking powder, mixing until just combined.
4️⃣ Shape dough into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5️⃣ Bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
6️⃣ Let cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
Icing:
7️⃣ In a bowl, cream together softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
8️⃣ Stir in almond extract and milk, one tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
9️⃣ Add neon pink food coloring, if using, until desired shade is achieved.
