Pork Chops with Creamy Potatoes

Ingredients :

  • 6-8 pork chops (can be boneless or with bones)
  • 6 potatoes that have had their skin removed and cut into slices
  • 2 cans of creamy mushroom soup, each can weighing 10 ounces.
  • 1 can of evaporated milk, 12 ounces
  • 3/4 of a cup of water
  • 3 tablespoons of onion soup mix (or 1 packet of Lipton onion soup)
  • Add salt and pepper according to your preference.
  • Optional: Onions cooked in oil.

Directions:

  1. Heat your oven to 325°F before starting.
  2. In a big bowl, combine the mushroom soup, evaporated milk, water, onion soup mix, pepper, and salt.
  3. Place the potato slices at the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  4. Put the pork chops on top of the potatoes.
  5. Spread the creamy mixture evenly on top of the potatoes. If you want, add some fried onions on top.
  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 2 to 2.5 hours. Take off the foil during the final 30 minutes to let it brown.
