No-Knead Artisan Bread

Ingredients :

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

Directions :

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add the warm water to the dry ingredients and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for 12-18 hours, until the surface is bubbly and dough has risen.
  4. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Place a Dutch oven or heavy pot (with lid) in the oven to preheat as well.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a well-floured surface and shape it into a ball. Cover with a towel and let it rest while the oven heats up.
  6. Carefully remove the hot pot from the oven, place the dough inside, cover with the lid, and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the bread is golden and crusty.
  8. Let the bread cool before slicing.
