Ingredients :
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
Directions :
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, and salt.
- Add the warm water to the dry ingredients and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for 12-18 hours, until the surface is bubbly and dough has risen.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Place a Dutch oven or heavy pot (with lid) in the oven to preheat as well.
- Turn the dough out onto a well-floured surface and shape it into a ball. Cover with a towel and let it rest while the oven heats up.
- Carefully remove the hot pot from the oven, place the dough inside, cover with the lid, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the bread is golden and crusty.
- Let the bread cool before slicing.
