Maraschino Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients :

  •  1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  •  1 cup granulated sugar
  •  1 cup packed brown sugar
  •  2 large eggs
  •  2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  •  3 cups all-purpose flour
  •  1 teaspoon baking soda
  •  1/2 teaspoon salt
  •  1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
  •  1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions : 

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
    Cream Butter and Sugars:

     

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add Eggs and Vanilla:

     

  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
    Combine Dry Ingredients:

     

  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into the butter mixture.
    Fold in Cherries and Chocolate Chips:

     

  5. Gently fold in the chopped maraschino cherries and chocolate chips.
    Form Cookies:

     

  6. Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
    Bake:

     

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden.
    Cool:

     

  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely
