Homemade Condensed Milk with 3 Ingredients: Sugar-Free Healthy Recipe

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda (optional, to prevent curdling)

Instructions : 

  1. Combine Ingredients:
    • In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and sugar.
    • Add the butter to the mixture.
  2. Cook the Mixture:
    • Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
    • Reduce the heat to low and simmer gently. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  3. Thicken the Milk:
    • Cook the mixture for about 30–40 minutes, or until it reduces by half and thickens to a creamy consistency. Be patient and avoid boiling, as it can curdle the milk.
  4. Add Baking Soda (Optional):
    • Stir in the baking soda during the last few minutes of cooking to keep the mixture smooth.
  5. Cool and Store:
    • Remove the pan from heat and let the sweetened condensed milk cool completely.
    • Pour into clean, sterilized jars and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
