Easy No-Knead Sandwich Bread

Ingredients :

  • 3 ½ cups (440g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups (360ml) warm water
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) instant yeast

Instructions : 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for 5–10 minutes until the top becomes foamy. This shows the yeast is active and ready to work its magic.
  2. Add the flour and salt to the bowl. Mix with a wooden spoon or spatula until everything is well combined. The dough will be soft and a bit sticky—that’s exactly what we want.
  3. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.
  4. Lightly grease a standard 9×5 inch loaf pan. Transfer the dough into the pan and gently smooth the top with a spatula or wet hand.
  5. Let the dough rise again in the loaf pan for about 30 minutes, or until puffy and just over the edge of the pan.
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the bread for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
  6. Remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing .
