Ingredients :
- 2 cans of cream of chicken soup
- 2 cans of chicken broth (15 oz each)
- 1 stick of butter or margarine
- 1 lb chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)
- 1 package of frozen egg noodles (24 oz), I used Reames
- 1 packet of chicken gravy mix
- Fresh ground pepper, to taste
- Fresh carrots and celery (optional)
Instructions :
- In the crockpot, place the chicken breasts on the bottom. Sprinkle the gravy packet over the chicken.
- Pour the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup on top, then add the stick of butter and season with pepper to taste.
- Cook on low for 4-5 hours.
- Remove the chicken, shred it, and return it to the crockpot.
- Add the frozen egg noodles and cook for an additional 2 hours. During the last 2 hours, add fresh carrots and celery if desired. Stir every 30 minutes until done.
