Ingredient :
- 2 lbs red potatoes
- ¼ cup butter
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 ½ tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. pepper
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 10 oz. frozen peas
- ½ cup onion, diced
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Instructions :
Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.
- Boil the red potatoes until they are tender. Once cooked, cut them in half and place them on a greased baking pan.
Step 2: Add the Peas
- Evenly sprinkle the frozen peas over the halved potatoes.
Step 3: Make the Cream Sauce
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the flour, salt, and pepper, and cook for about 2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
- Gradually add the milk and evaporated milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
Step 4: Combine and Bake
- Pour the creamy sauce over the potatoes and peas, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
- Top with the crumbled bacon.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling.
