Ingredients :
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions :
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan (8×4 inches) or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using).
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
