Beef-Stuffed Shells with Creamy Ricotta Filling

Ingredients :

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions : 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Cook the Beef Mixture:
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain any excess fat, then stir in the marinara sauce. Remove from heat.
  5. Make the Ricotta Filling:
  6. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  7. Stuff the Shells:
  8. Fill each cooled pasta shell with the ricotta mixture. Arrange the stuffed shells in a baking dish in a single layer.
  9. Assemble the Dish:
  10. Spoon the beef and marinara mixture evenly over the stuffed shells.
  11. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the top.
  12. Bake:
  13. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  14. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  15. Serve:
  16. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving. Pair with garlic bread or a crisp green salad for a complete meal.
