Ingredients :
- 2 tubes crescent roll dough
- 1 lb (450 g) sliced corned beef
- 1 1/2 cups sauerkraut, drained
- 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 1 egg, beaten (optional, for brushing)
- Caraway seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions :
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Unroll one tube of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, sealing the seams.
- Spread the Thousand Island dressing evenly over the dough.
Layer half of the Swiss cheese, all of the corned beef, and then the sauerkraut.
Top with the remaining Swiss cheese. - Unroll the second tube of crescent roll dough and place it over the filling. Pinch the edges to seal.
- Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden finish. Sprinkle with caraway seeds for an authentic Reuben flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
Let the bake cool for 5 minutes before slicing into squares. Serve warm and enjoy!
