Chicken Cordon Bleu hot

Ingredients :

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts 4
  • Swiss cheese slices 4
  • Deli ham slices 4
  • All-purpose flour 1/2 cup
  • Eggs 2, beaten
  • Breadcrumbs 1.25 cups
  • Grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 cup
  • Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt & pepper To taste

Instructions :

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish. Pound each chicken breast thin (about 1/4 inch) between plastic wrap.
  2. Lay a slice of Swiss cheese and ham on each chicken breast. Roll them up tightly and secure them with toothpicks if needed.
  3. Set up 3 shallow dishes. Fill the first with flour, the second with beaten eggs, and the third with a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dredge each roll in flour, then dip it in the egg mixture, making sure it’s fully coated. Finally, roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently for a good coating. Place the breaded rolls in the baking dish.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the breading is golden brown. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
  6. Enjoy your Chicken Cordon Bleu hot, garnished with fresh parsley if you like. It pairs well with steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad.
